The exhibition hall “Independent Kazakhstan” begins with the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Kazakh SSR, followed by materials on the proclamation of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the introduction of the national currency, membership in the United Nations, biographies of President Kassym-Jomart Kemeluly Tokayev and First President Nursultan Abishuly Nazarbayev, authentic state symbols, as well as reference materials and photographs reflecting the achievements of the Atyrau Region in the fields of economy and culture during the years of independence.
The hall displays archival documents and photographs capturing historic moments in the formation of independent Kazakhstan and the activities of the First President, Nursultan Nazarbayev, in developing the country. Special attention is given to his visits to the Atyrau Region and to historical events such as the launch of major enterprises LLP “Tengizchevroil” and LLP “AtyrauNefteMash.”
In addition, materials are presented on oil production and industrial enterprises of the Atyrau Region during the years of independence, on today’s economic and cultural development, as well as samples of the first national banknotes.
Each exhibit in the hall reveals important stages in the establishment of the country’s independence, the implementation of social reforms, Kazakhstan’s integration into the world community, and the period of economic and cultural growth of the state.
