KIPIEV MUKHAMBETKALI KUANYSHKALIULY

Kipiev Mukhambetkali Kuanyshkaliuly was born in 1978. He has a higher education degree: in 1999, he graduated from Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University with a major in History and Law (Teacher of History and Law); in 2013, he completed his Master’s degree in History at “Kainar” University (Almaty); in 2024, he completed postgraduate studies at B.B. Gorodovikov Kalmyk State University (Elista, Republic of Kalmykia, Russian Federation) specializing in Historical Sciences and Archaeology.

Master of Arts.

In 2011, he completed advanced training at the Academy for the Retraining of Workers in Art, Culture and Tourism in Moscow (Russia). In 2012, he participated in organizing the Kazakhstani exhibition at the Freer/Sackler, The Smithsonian’s Museums of Asian Art, in Washington, D.C. (USA).

From 1994 to 2007, he worked in cultural institutions of the Atyrau Region.

-       2007–2008 – Head of the State Inspection for the Protection, Restoration and Use of the Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Atyrau Region;

-       2008–2010 – Director of the Atyrau Regional Museum of History and Local Lore;

-       2010–2013 – Head of the Departments for Accounting, Preservation, and Restoration of Collections at the State Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

-        2013 – First Deputy Director General of the Kazakh Research Institute of Culture;

-        2014–2019 – Head of the State Inspection for the Protection, Restoration and Use of the Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Atyrau Region;

-        2019–2022 – Head of the Center for the Study of the Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Atyrau Region;

-         since 2022 – Director of the Atyrau Regional Museum of History and Local Lore.

          Author of about 50 articles on history, archaeology, ethnography, preservation of historical and cultural monuments, and museum studies, as well as publisher and compiler of more than 20 editions.

Awarded with a Letter of Appreciation from the Akim of the Atyrau Region, Certificates of Honor from the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. Holder of the badge “Excellence in Culture.”
