Atyrau Regional Museum of Local History hosted a thematic exhibition "The First Kazakh Woman Pilot Khiuaz Dospanova", dedicated to May 9 - Victory Day.

The well-known publicist historian Zhumabay Dospanov and the deputy head of the Atyrau Regional State Archive Tursyn Kalimova spoke about the heroic deed of Khiuaz Dospanova at the front and her contribution to the motherland in peacetime. The purpose of the exhibition is to popularize the heroism of this Kazakh girl, a national hero, who accomplished a unique feat in the fight against the Nazi invaders in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, to the younger generation.

The exposition dedicated to H. Dospanova in the hall «Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945»  presents photographs with relatives and comrades-in-arms at the front, as well as personal photographs, documents and awards, biography of "Eagles, navigational instruments used during the war years, inventory items, a replica of the aircraft model PO-2. The film "History of Victory" was shown on the touch screen.

The exhibition was watched by teachers and students of secondary schools No. 12, No. 35, kindergarten No. 48 of our city.
