Participation in an International Conference
On July 3, 2026, the R.B. Suleimenov Institute of Oriental Studies in Almaty hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference titled “Historical Preconditions and the Historical Reality of Sedentary Settlements of the Golden Horde Period in Western Kazakhstan.”
The conference was attended by Mukhambetkali Kuanyshkaliuly Kipiev, Director of the Atyrau Regional Museum of History and Local Lore, who delivered a presentation entitled “Accounts of the Sarayshyk Settlement in the 18th–19th Centuries.”
His presentation examined written and archival sources related to the history of the Sarayshyk settlement and comprehensively highlighted their scholarly significance and historical value for the study of the city during the Golden Horde period. The international conference provided a platform for the exchange of experience between Kazakhstani and international scholars engaged in the study of the historical and cultural heritage of the Golden Horde era and contributed to the further strengthening of scientific cooperation.
