Traveling exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Karshyga Akhmediyarov
On September 28, 2026, to mark the 80th anniversary of the outstanding Kazakh kuishi-composer, People’s Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, laureate of the State prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Makhambet prize, and recipient of the "Parasat" order, Karshyga Akhmediyarov, the Atyrau Regional Museum of History and Local Lore organized a traveling exhibition from its collections at the Academic Kazakh Drama Theatre named after Makhambet Utemisuly.
The exhibition was visited by Nurbike Zhumagalikyzy, the wife of Karshyga Akhmediyarov, his descendants, distinguished guests who had specially arrived from various regions of the republic, representatives of the cultural and artistic community, and residents of Atyrau.
Visitors explored exhibits reflecting Karshyga Akhmediyarov’s significant contribution to Kazakhstan’s national musical art and learned more about the creative legacy of the outstanding kuishi-composer.
The exhibition featured valuable museum artifacts documenting Karshyga Akhmediyarov’s life and creative career. Among the exhibits were the musician’s personal dombra, his stage costume, documents related to his state awards and honorary titles, photographs, as well as audio, video, and printed materials highlighting his artistic legacy.
