Temporary Exhibition Organized for International Museum Day



In honor of May 18 — International Museum Day, the Atyrau Regional Museum of History and Local Lore held the opening ceremony of the temporary exhibition “Patterns of the Past.”

The exhibition was organized based on 20th-century household items preserved in the museum collection. A total of 66 museum objects were displayed.       Visitors were presented with household appliances, kitchen utensils, lighting and heating devices, medical items, decorative exhibits, and historical personal belongings.

The opening ceremony was attended by guests participating in the presentation of the ethnographic expedition materials collection, as well as museum visitors who came as part of the Open House Day.

During the event, the head of the Atyrau Regional Museum of History and Local Lore, M. Kipiev, delivered a congratulatory speech and highlighted the historical significance of the museum exhibits. Guests also explored the structure of the exhibition and watched a special video created using artificial intelligence technologies.

The exhibition was organized into the following sections: “Kitchen of the Kazakh Home,” “World of Technology,” “Light and Warmth,” “Office Supplies,” “History of Medicine,” “Fashion and Personality,” and “Handicrafts and Decorative Artifacts.”

The exhibition “Patterns of the Past” aims to introduce visitors to the everyday life, culture, and lifestyle features of people in the previous century.
