Temporary Exhibition “Mark of History: Badge”



On May 6, 2026, the Atyrau Regional Museum of History and Local Lore organized a temporary exhibition entitled “Mark of History: Badge,” based on the collection of badges and medals preserved in the museum’s holdings.

The purpose of the exhibition was to promote the cultural and historical significance of awards and to introduce the public to the personalities and historical eras represented by them.

The exhibition featured 77 museum artifacts, including awards and badges representing various periods of Kazakhstan’s history. The main sections of the exhibition displayed medals from the period of the Great Patriotic War and the post-war years, historical insignia of the Soviet era, as well as awards presented to professionals in the oil industry, railway transport, education, science, and healthcare.

In addition, visitors were presented with a medal dedicated to Aliya Moldagulova, historical materials related to Khalel Dosmukhamedov, and various badges and medals awarded to representatives of different professions during the period of Independent Kazakhstan.

Students of the Business and Law College attended the event and explored the exhibition. During the guided tour, visitors received comprehensive information about the origins and significance of the exhibits on display.

The exhibition was aimed at promoting historical continuity, preserving national heritage, and introducing the public to valuable artifacts from the museum’s collections.
