Temporary Exhibition “Clock Collection”
On April 17, 2026, the Atyrau Regional Museum of History and Local Lore organized the temporary exhibition “Clock Collection,” featuring timepieces preserved in the museum’s collections.
During the exhibition, visitors became acquainted with a wide variety of antique clocks and watches and learned fascinating facts about their origins and distinctive features. The museum guide provided detailed explanations about each exhibit, highlighting its historical and cultural significance.
The exhibition displayed unique examples of wall clocks, table clocks, wristwatches, and pocket watches. Particularly noteworthy were rare pieces dating from the mid-19th century and the first half of the 20th century, which attracted considerable interest from visitors. In total, the exhibition featured 41 museum artifacts.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by lecturers and students of the O. Koshekov Atyrau Agrarian and Technical College, the K. Dutbayeva Atyrau Humanitarian College, as well as museum specialists.
The exhibition attracted 50 visitors on its opening day, while approximately 300 people visited it during the following week.
