Traveling exhibition «The Golden Leader of Taskopa»



On November 20, 2024, the traveling exhibition "The Golden Leader of Taskopa" was opened at the Aktobe Regional Museum of History and Local Lore, organized by the Department of Culture, Archives, and Documentation of the Aktobe Region.

 

          The purpose of the exhibition is to promote the findings related to elite archaeological sites of early Iron Age nomads, which were discovered during excavations in the Aktobe region in 2019, as well as achievements in the study of the culture of the Sarmatian tribes. The exhibition features valuable artifacts dating from the 6th to 1st centuries BC (early Iron Age), discovered during archaeological excavations in 2019 at the cemetery and burial mounds of Taskopa in the Temir District. These items are now part of the collection of the Aktobe Regional Museum of History and Local Lore. The exhibition also presents materials about the history of research on Sarmatian monuments in the Aktobe region and the various types of burials.
