Traveling exhibition "Jewels of the Great Steppe"
From October 8 to November 23, the Department of Culture and Languages Development of the Atyrau Region and the Atyrau Regional Museum of History and Local Lore organized a traveling exhibition “Jewels of the Great Steppe” for residents of the districts in order to popularize archaeological values.
The exhibits of this exhibition include the restored "Sarmatian Woman" in gold clothing, found in the Miyaly group of kurgans in the Kyzylkoga district in 2017, the "Woman with Silver Jewelry" from the 10th-11th centuries discovered from the Miyaly kurgan in 2020, and a reconstruction of a horse harness found near it, as well as other archaeological finds.
The traveling exhibition, organized for the purpose of mass popularization of our historical heritage among the residents of the region, visited all 7 districts of our region.
