ATYRAU REGIONAL MUSEUM OF HISTORY AND LOCAL LORE SUMMARIZES ITS FIRST-HALF RESULTS

On August 25, the Atyrau Regional Museum of History and Local Lore held a staff meeting to review the museum’s performance during the first half of 2026 and discuss priorities for the upcoming period.

The meeting was attended by Abil Taufikuly Zholamanov, Head of the Atyrau Regional Department of Culture and Languages Development; Arman Bagytzhanuly Adilgaliyev, Deputy Head of the Department; department officials, staff members of the regional museum, and directors of the museum’s branches.

During the meeting, Mukhambetkali Kuanyshkaliuly Kipiev, Head of the Atyrau Regional Museum of History and Local Lore, presented a report on the museum’s activities during the first half of 2026 and outlined its key areas of work.

The meeting reviewed the expansion of the museum’s collections, scientific research and archaeological activities, the digitization of museum objects, the implementation of exhibitions and cultural-educational projects, guided tour services, visitor attendance, and the results of the museum’s public outreach and educational activities.

The performance and future plans of the regional museum’s branches were also discussed. Directors of the "Atamura" Makat Museum of History and Local Lore, the Makhambet Museum of History and Local Lore, and the Kyzylkoga Museum of History and Local Lore presented reports on their achievements and outlined upcoming priorities.

During the meeting, a number of specific recommendations and assignments were issued regarding the scientific study and expansion of the museum’s collections, the implementation of new projects dedicated to historical figures, the development of social and cultural initiatives, the strengthening of the museum’s presence on social media, and the preparation of projects in new formats.

In the coming period, priority will be given to further developing the museum’s scientific research, cultural and educational programs, exhibition activities, and digital initiatives, while continuing to promote the historical and cultural heritage of the Atyrau region and strengthen engagement between museums and the wider community.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the museum’s key objectives for the next period were approved, and corresponding assignments were issued to ensure the systematic and effective implementation of the planned activities.
