Festive Event “Nauryz Traditions – Heritage of the People”



On March 18, 2026, within the framework of the nationwide ten-day celebration “Nauryznama” and in honor of Nauryz, the festive event “Nauryz Traditions – Heritage of the People” was held.

The purpose of the event was to promote the significance and essence of the Nauryz holiday, revive national customs and traditions, highlight spiritual and cultural values, and demonstrate the role of national heritage in educating the younger generation.

The celebration was attended by labor and sports veteran Akmyrza Batyrkairuly, the respected elder and giver of blessings (“Batagoi”) of the “Elsana” spiritual and patriotic association, Abish Zhanar Toreniyazkyzy, Chairperson of the Council of Mothers under the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, members of the regional Council of Mothers, artists of the N. Zhanturin Atyrau Regional Philharmonic, as well as museum veterans and staff members.

During the event, a fashion presentation titled “Kimeshek worn by mothers” was held, the traditional festive drinking Nauryz kozhe was introduced and served to guests, and traditional customs such as “Besikke salu” and “Tusau kesu” were demonstrated.

As part of the celebration, philharmonic artists performed musical pieces, and the honored guest Akmyrza Batyrkairuly gave a traditional blessing.

The event was aimed at promoting national values and widely popularizing the traditions of the Nauryz holiday.
