On the occasion of the 220th anniversary of the birth of Makhambet Otemisuly, the traveling exhibition "Azamat erdin balasy" of the Atyrau Regional Museum of Local History, collected from the museum fund, continued today in the Inder district. Historians, scientists, poets and writers, who studied the history of Makhambet, laureates of the Makhambet Prize, representatives of the intelligentsia, who gathered at the event, made a pilgrimage visiting the grave of Batyr in the village of Karoy and read the Koran.
At the opening of the traveling exhibition "Azamat erdin balasy", organized in the museum of the Inder district, the akim of the Inder district D.Shamuratov, the head of the historical and local history museum of the Atyrau region M.Kipiev, a member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan T.Zhanabai, Honorary citizen of the Inder district S.Galym, poetess, laureate of the Makhambet Prize A. Dauletbayeva shared their thoughts. The exhibition was visited by Doctor of Historical Sciences A. Akhmet, member of the Union of Writers and Journalists of Kazakhstan, editor-in-chief of the regional newspaper "Atyrau" N. Kosshiev, laureates of the Makhambet Prize B. Atalyk, T. Khalin, chairman of the council of veterans of the Inder region S. Khalykov, head of the public fund "Mirascor" A. Eskali, employees of the institution, residents of the district. The head of the orchestra of folk instruments of R. Gabdiev A. Zhenisov performed the Makhambet’s kui "Zhumyr kylysh", and B. Samigolla, a student of the 9th grade of the secondary school named after S. Seifullin, read the poem "Yereuli atka er salmay".
The exposition presented the biography of M. Otemisuly, maps of trade and business routes in the Bukey Horde, a map of the Bukey Horde in the 19th century, the national liberation uprising led by Isatay Taymanuly and Makhambet Otemisuly in 1836-1838, Khan's horde in the 19th century, Zhangir Bukeyuly city school in the Khan's horde, 1st women's school in the Khan's Horde in the 19th century, view from the outside and inside of the Zhangir school in 1912, the moment of marking the grave of Isatai Taymanuly in the Sheytsai area of the Aktobe region of the Kobdy district in 1962, photographs of Kurak Bekturganov, who found the grave of the batyr Makhambet in 1958 and N. Shayakhmetov, the author of the bust of Makhambet in 1967, as well as paintings dedicated to Makhambet Otemisuly by famous artists M. Kalimov, I. I. Nikel, D. Kayrambaev, B. Teleubaev, copies of the seals of Makhambet, Isatai and Zhangir Khan, a copy of the dombra of M. Otemisuly, clothes of a batyr, 5 types of warrior weapons. In addition, there were also copies of archival letters relating to Makhambet Otemisuly, stored in the Central State Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan: permission issued by the Orynbor Border Commission to Otemis Kulmaniyazuly, foreman of the Zhaiyk Berish clan, to cross the Zhaiyk River between the Inder Mountains and the Grebenshchik fortresses, for wintering in Naryn-Kum (December 17, 1808), letter of the Khan of the Inner Horde Zhangir Bukeyuly addressed to the Orynbor Border Commission (September 17, 1836), a petition to the head of the Ural Cossack army Vasily Osipovich Pokatilov from Isatai Taymanuly and Makhambet Otemisuly and other foremen of the Inner Horde to replace investigators due to the fact that investigators intimidated and slandered witnesses during the investigation (December 25, 1836), a ticket issued by the foreman of the Berish clan Isatay Taymanuly to Ashchygulu Baigylov and Ismukhammed Tanshin for the right to pass through the Zhaiyk River (September 2, 1836), memo of Colonel, Sultan Baimukhammed Aishuakov, ruler of the western part of the Orynbor Cossacks, to the Orynbor Border Commission on the capture of Makhambet Otemisuly (March 18, 1841), The petition of Makhambet Otemisuly to the chairman of the Orynbor Border Commission, Major General M.V. Ladyzhensky, about sending his son Nursultan to a school for Kazakh children, opened by the Border Commission, (February 4, 1845) and other exhibits, the number of which, in total, reaches 80.
