On April 5, at 11.00 o'clock, the local history museum of Atyrau region hosted the opening of a temporary exhibition "Gazet - Omir Ainasy" in honor of the 100th anniversary of the regional socio-political newspaper "ATYRAŶ".

The event was attended by employees of the Atyrau newspaper, which has a century-old history starting with the “Yerik” newspaper, veteran journalists who have worked in this newspaper for many years, former managers and employees of the museum, media representatives and students of the Faculty of Journalism of the Atyrau State University named after. H. Dosmukhamedov.

At the round table, the participants spoke about the past history of the Atyrau newspaper and shared their memories of the period of its formation.

The meeting was attended by Deputy General Director of LLP "Atyrau-Akparat", former editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Atyrau" Isatay Balmagambetov, old employees of the newspaper, honored journalists of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tolegen Zhanabay and Otepbergen Alimgerey, Atyrau Press History Researcher, Candidate of Historical Sciences Kylyshbai Sundetuly, former director of LLP "Atyrau-Akparat" Tolegen Berishbaev, the editor-in-chief of the Atyrau newspaper, Nazarbek Kosshiev, spoke about the path of the newspaper and the noble qualities of the writers who worked there. After that, the museum guide Nurgul Shalimova presented to the public an exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the newspaper, prepared from the museum fund.

The exposition includes a copy of the newspaper "Erik" dated April 1, 1923, the originals of the regional newspapers "Erik", "Socialistik Kurylys", "Kommunistik Yenbek", "Atyrau" dated 1924, biographies of the first editors on the pages of the newspaper, who worked in those days in close contact with Abu Sarsenbaev, Sabit Mukanov, Gabdola Slanov, Khamit Yergaliev, Berkaira Amanshin, as well as their photographs and personal belongings. There were also documents with personal belongings of compatriots known to our country Tauman Amandosov, Fariza Ongarsynova, Marat Iskakov, who began their first creative career in the editorial office in the last century, photos and works by playwright Berik Korkytov, writers Shopengali Dauenov, Abugali Gabdullin, Nuraly Azhigaliev, Tolegen Zhanabai, Otepbergen Alimgereev and other writers, as well as collective photographs of the editors during their work. A total of 111 exhibits were exhibited.
