A travelling exposition “Atyrau from the deep ages” was conducted by the Local history museum of Atyrau region  under program “Strong regions – strong Kazakhstan” devoted to 25 years of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation on 17 September 2016.

In order to acquaint with showpieces of material and spirit culture, 249 showpieces were presented for the attention of viewers. Among findings: a unique founding of century- “A jewel of a man” found in the course of archeological excavation in the burial mound “Araltobe”, showpieces of medieval city Saraishyk, historic achieve documents, personal things, ethnographical showpieces, handicraft of  masters, wooden dishes, jewelry.   

At the exposition tablets and showpieces discovering history of our region from ancient time till today were presented: Sultan Beibarys – famous commander, public figure who had ruled Egypt for 17 years; Abulkhair – a khan of Junior juz who was a leader of battle against the jungar; Bukey khan – founder of Inner Horde; Zhangir khan – khan-reformist; leaders of rebel in Junior juz, warrior Syrym Datov, Isatay Taymanov, Makhambet Utemisov; famous composer, kyuishi Kurmangazy Sagyrbayev, dombrist Dina Nurpeisova; writers and poets, journalists and musicians of XX centry – Abu Sarsenov, Tauman Amandosov, Zeinolla Kabdollov, Zhumeken Nazhmidenov, Fariza Ongarsynova, Nurmukhan Zhantorin. The rightful place took a collection of musical instruments: a dombra of National artist of Kazakhstan, State prize winner of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.Akhmedyarov, a dombra of national writer, veteran of the Great Patriotic War, poet Kh.Yergaliyev and others.
