An exposition of different types of woolen carpets-alasha from holdings of museum on the theme: “Ата кәсіп-бай мәдени мұрамыз” and workshop were conducted in the Local history museum of Atyrau region on 12 October 2016.

The exposition was opened with the aim of acquaintance with rich art heritage of the Kazakh, historically developed ornamental art, high technical skills, woolen weaving, way and technics of weaving. In the exposition different types of woolen carpets-alasha made by different ways: linen weaving, “terme”, “gulteru”, “zhuzteru” were presented  as well as a weaver loom –“ormek” was presented for attention of viewers. 20 showpieces were shown.

  A master of ornamental art, veteran- teacher K.Bektemirova introduces the preparation technics of woolen carpets-alasha, ways of doing alasha, sewing of patterned rags to visitors.

The teachers and students of Art College named after K.Dutbayeva, music college “D.Nurpeisova Academy of National music”, and museum stuff were presented.
