On April 3, at the Atyrau Regional Museum of Local History, an educational lesson on the topic "Kustar - zhaksylyktyn zharshysy" was held on the occasion of April 1 - World Bird Protection Day.
The lecture was attended by students of the 3rd and 1st courses of the Faculty of Biology and Agriculture of the Atyrau State University named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov and the head teacher Magiya Berzhanova, they discussed the birds living in our region, their place and significance in nature.
Elmira Mukhambetkalieva, a specialist in the department of research support of general history, archeology and ethnography of the museum, showed the stuffed birds of the desert found on the banks of reservoirs, listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and gave detailed information about their features, benefits, importance, nesting skills. Interesting quiz questions about birds were also asked and riddles were guessed.
In addition, Yasin Azamatuly, a 1st year student of the Faculty of Biology and Agriculture of the Atyrau State University named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov, read his poem “Kus alemi”, written by himself. And students of the 3rd year of the university recited by heart prepared articles about swallows, saker falkons, great bustards, swans, flamingos found in our region on the topic “Kazakhstan kustarynyn bolashagy” and shared their thoughts about the future of birds.
At the end of the event, students visited the exposition halls of the museum.
