A meeting of the Republican Council was held in the Local History Museum of Atyrau region on the basis of the resolution of the international scientific-practical conference "Ulug Ulus - the Golden Horde" in the framework of
the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At the beginning of the meeting, Akim of the region Makhambet Zholdaskaliyevich said that the revival of the forgotten history of the Golden Horde is one of the most urgent and actual issues
of our time. He stressed that it is the duty of each of us to glorify the greatness of the Ulug Ulus, which is the basis for the formation of today's Kazakhstan as a state.
The Republican Council approved a five-year plan based on the conference resolution. A local historian, member of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan, Honorary Journalist of Kazakhstan Tolegen Zhanabay, Director of the Institute of State History Yerkin Abil,
Director of the Saraishyk State Museum Reserve Abylseit Mukhtar, archeologist, Candidate of Historical Sciences Marat Kassenov , the head of the regional department of culture, archives and documentation Akylbek Ryskaliyev read reports on the Golden Horde
and shared his views on the historical cities and ancient Saraishyk in the region.
A specially prepared film about Kazakh history was presented at the ceremony. The meeting was also attended by members of the scientific council of the museum, representatives of the regional department of culture, archives and documentation, professors
of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau State University, historians and local historians.
