The Local history museum of the Atyrau region conducted the historical and informative lesson "Kazakh son and conductor " was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the People's Artist of the USSR and Kazakhstan, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan, conductor Shamgon Kazhygaliyev on June 20, 2017, at 3:00 pm.

The lesson was organized with the purpose of acquaintance the younger generation with the life and creative heritage of People's Artist of the USSR and Kazakhstan, conductor Shamgon Kazhygaliyev

Shamgon Kazhygaliyev was born on June 15, 1927 in Zhanakaladistrict of the West Kazakhstan region. He earlylosthis parents, was brought up in an orphanage. Already at the age of ten he gotthe first victory at the regional musical Olympiad. In the fifties he entered the conservatory in Almaty, for the conductor of the symphony orchestra and the folk instruments' orchestra. He began his creative career as a dombrist in an orchestra, lateras a conductor. From 1960 to 1971 he was artistic director and chief conductor of the Kazakh Symphony Orchestra. Shamgon Kazhygaliev improvedthe culture and professional skills of the member of an orchestra.Under the direction of S.Kazhygaliev, the orchestra performed musical compositions of composers M. Glinka, L. Beethoven, V. Mozart, T. Berlioz, P.I. Tchaikovsky, S.V. Rachmaninov and others. In 1988, Karaganda Folk Instruments Orchestra named after Tattimbet was organized under the direction of Sh. Kazhygaliyev. During foreign trips S.Kazhygaliyev expanded the influence of Kazakh music and art. Sh. Kazhygaliev died in 2015. During the lesson, the students got acquainted with the life and work of the conductor Sh. Kazhygaliyev, watched the slides. The lesson was conducted by the specialist of the research department of general and modern history B. Aimukhanova. Team leader Assem Ilyasova thanked the museum staff for an interesting and informative lesson.
