On May 16, 2017, the local history museum of the Atyrau region conducted the final rounds of the intellectual quest-contest on the theme "History of Kazakh Steppe " within the promotion" Motherland is my honor among employees of cultural institutions, high school students in Atyrau in Kazakh and Russian languages.
The purpose of the quest is to get acquainted with the history, culture, archeology, nature of the region and Kazakhstan in an entertaining form.
Selection rounds of the contest were held in the local history museum of Atyrau region from February to April 2017 among 9 teams of cultural institutions, among 18 teams of students in general schools in the city of Atyrau in Kazakh and Russian.
Their knowledge was shown by answering all questions on the exposition halls of the museum and reached to the final round the staff of N. Zhanturin regional philharmonic hall, the regional drama theater named after Makhambet Utemisov, the Academic Orchestra of National Instruments named after D. Nurpeisova. Among the schools, students of Nazarbayev intellectual school with a chemical-biological bias (in Kazakh and Russian languages), the national gymnasium No. 13 named after D. Baibosynov (in Kazakh), the specialized technical gymnasium with in-depth study of the English language (in Kazakh and Russian languages ), the school - lyceum № 16 named after Zh. Karazhigitov (in Russian).
In the final round of the quest, 15 questions were prepared, including tasks not only on the history, exhibits and expositions of the museum, but also in mathematics, geography, and logic. Participants in the quest-contest opened envelopes with puzzles by lot, collected puzzles; one missing puzzle was hidden in a box. Box were locked to find a key, it was necessary to go through the entire route and answer all questions, the last question indicated the location of the key. When assessing the results, the correctness of the response, the speed of movement were taken into account.
The team of M.UtemisovAtyrau RegionalDrama Theater was the winner of the quest among the cultural institutions.
The winners amongthe schoolchildrenstudyingin the Kazakh and Russian languages were the teams of Nazarbayev intellectual school with a chemical and biological bias.
All participants in the contest were awarded diplomas I, II, III degrees and books. I place participants were also awarded family tickets for free attendance of the event "Night at the Museum", winners among schoolchildren are encouraged by a trip to the historical places of the Atyrau region.
