In accordance with the work plan of the local history museum of Atyrau region,specialists of the scientific research department of archeology conducted archeological excavations of burial mounds in Miyaly group in the territory of Kyzylkoginsky districtfrom June 21 - July 10, 2017.
Miyalamound goup, 3 km to the north fromMiyala village, a plane in the north of the river Uil, located in 4 kmtosoutheast fromthe village of Dzhangildin is the plague of the Sarmatian tribes.
In 2013, the museum staff organized exploration expeditions of the group of Miyala mounds, at a result the identified 15 mounds weretaken into account. According to the plan for the current year, archaeological excavations were carried out onthree burial mounds.
In the excavations of burial mounds, 4 human bones were found for the Sarmatians of the early Iron Age, 35 pieces of arrows, arrow head, and bar bit and jarwere also found.
Also, on the ground floor (layer) of this plague, approximately at depth of 1.5 m, there are found human remains related to the Bronze Age. It turned out that human bones are buried in the embryo position, elbows and knees in a folded position, a pit with traditions of the Bronze Age culture.
In one of the burial mounds, bones, graveswere found from different places, 25 pieces of yellow metal stripes with tagsare found from theground, part of it is the earring suspension, a ritual bronze boiler houseand burial of the human bone surface in the skin of the birches tree were also found among the soils, and next to it are metal arrowheads, bow, waist plaques and 15 pieces of belt silver stripes approved on the cloth belt.
When using the saltyk around the hole of the bronze boiler in four places there is a handle in the style of hunting. Opposite to each other there is an image of horses, and one horse without a head. Even with the image of an animal located opposite each other, one of them does not have a head. Prior to this, our land found among the finds bronze boiler house handle in the style of hunting and one of the boilers that have been preserved intact. The strip of clothing is made of yellow metal, thin like foil in the form of a pyramid, and is decribed a bird in flight and ornament on the background.
The keyring of the earring consists of two parts of the middle of the hollow tubes connected to each other by a thin wire. In the center of both it can be seen that the powder is white. The upper part of the tubes has a hollow circle. On both sides are pasted figures in the images of animals. Figures from the hole in the lower ground in three places were confirmed by thin little chains.
Perfectly madekeychain earrings and stripes of clothes in the form of birds in flight is one of the unique artifacts that there is no in our museum holdings.
In the museum fund, 95 pieces of archaeological items were taken as a result of an archaeological expedition.
A scientific report on the results of archaeological excavations has been prepared, and a book is planned.
