“Secret box” educational excursion was carried out in Atyrau regional local history museum on 26 February 2017 at 11.00 and 15.00 under family program “All the family go to museum”. The excursion was arranged for the adult and child audience to introduce the applied art of the Kazakh nation, traditional Kazakh dish made of wood and leather, Kazakh ornaments, familiarization with cultural values of Kazakh nation and solicitous attitude to history and cultural heritage.
“Secret box” educational excursion was conducted in the ethnographic hall on the background of yurt and exposition hall, the main place of interest was Kazakh box with showpieces inside. Guide Dinara Bisembayeva initially told about Kazakh yurt, introduced yurt’s internal interior and its arrangements. Later the excursion continued at Kazakh box from where a guide took out articles of traditional Kazakh dishes made of leather and wood (torsyk, saba, case for drinking bowl, set of dishware for kumys, ware for bauyrsak and meat), copper articles and other. Presenting every article, a guide asked visitors what this showpiece was used for, listened to answers and then she explained in detail the real function of articles. A special program of quiz, puzzle and expressive reading was arranged for children.
The residents of Atyrau, military man of military base 2201 «G»,students of secondary school No.36 and linguistic school gymnasium No.34, in total 68 persons participated in the excursion.
At the end of excursion lieutenant Nurlan Abdulkhai thanked museum personnel emphasizing that solders got known about the applied art of Kazakh nation, about dishes made of leather so nobody could guess for what a case for bowl needs. Class teacher of 1st class of the secondary school No.36 Fariza Sansyzbaykyzy Kuanysheva thanked museum personnel for entertaining excursion and interesting time spent by children.
