Educational excursion “Travel to ice era” under family program “All the family go to museum” was held in Atyrau regional local history museum on 19 February 2017 between 11.0 and 15.00. Excursion was arranged in order to acquaint with animals of ice period inhabiting on the territory of our region and with life of primitive man.
Educational excursion “Travel to ice era”was held in the nature hall and through corridor of 1st floor, on the diorama background of the fourth period fauna on the territory of the Caspian Sea shore and exposition of tusk, bone and teeth of mammoth, skull and horn of ancient deer, skull of woolly rhinoceros and skull of ancient rhinoceros. In the course of excursion museum visitors received information about what ice era is, wildlife of ice era (mammoth, woolly rhinoceros, cave bear, Irish elks, ogrefish tiger), about life of primate men in ice era, about man named Otzi found in Alp ice. An excursion program changed depending on visitor’s age. In the course of excursion a documental film was shown and “Hunting on mammoth” game was held. Standing out participants were awarded to “With classmates to the museum” season ticket for free museum entrance during 2017 and books.
On that day entrance was free for all the visitors.
