“Travelling to ice period” museum lesson was conducted in Atyrau regional local history museum

“Travelling to ice era” museum lesson was conducted in order to acquaint students with animals of ice era inhabiting on the territory of our region and with life of ancient man in Atyrau regional local history museum on 18 January 2017 at 11.00.

The lesson was started from performance of Kazakhstan an them at the room “Independence of Kazakhstan”, and then it continued in the conference room of museum. In the course of lesson students received information about what ire era is, about wild life of ice era (mammoth, mastodons, woolly rhinoceros, cave bear,Irish elk, sabre-toothed tiger and other), about life of ancient man in ice era, man named Otzi found in Alp ice. The lesson was accompanied by slides.

After completion of lesson, quest on given theme was conducted, then children got acquainted with presented tusks, bones and teeth of mammoth, skulls and horn of ancient deer, skulls of  woolly rhinoceros and skulls of ancient bull.

Teachers and students of the 5th form from lyceum school No.17 were at the lesson.
