“World without nuclear weapon” educational lessons under program “Country of Great Steppe – 25 grounds of Independence” devoted to the 25 years of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan was conducted by the Local history museum of Atyrau region in secondary school No.12 named after F.Dosymova on 29 October 2016, 29 November – “World without nuclear weapon”.
The lesson was dedicated to unequalled decision of the President in the world history, that is, nuclear disarmament and closing of Semipalatinsk nuclear range. Special attention was paid for the initiatives of Kazakhstan on formation of a nuclear-free world, “Atom” project.
The participants got to know about history of “Nevada-Semei” movement thanks to which deadly weapons test was ceased in Semipalatinsk nuclear range, about special date in the modern history of Kazakhstan: 29 August is an International day against nuclear test, the day settled by the United Nations on the initiative of Kazakhstan at the lesson. Documental film about Semipalatinsk nuclear range was offered for the attention of participants as well.
Teachers and pupils of 9th form from secondary school No.12 named after F.Dosymova presented on the lesson.
