The walking tour was arranged by the local history museum of Atyrau region through historical places of Atyrau city for pupils of 7the form of lyceum school No.17 on 23 September 2016. An excursion was conducted with the aim of showing historical monuments and places of Atyrau that will be shown to tourists in International exposition Expo-2017

3 places were presented at the excursion: monuments of Isatay Taimanov and Makhambet Utemisov, a mosque “Imangali” and the Assumption Cathedral. At the start of excursion children get acquainted with exposition EXPO-2017, get known about the reason of conduction, rout of tourists visiting International exposition EXPO-2017 in Astana and our city. After it, excursionists get acquainted with Isatay and Makhambet’s monument, when it was established, who was Isatay and Makhambet, why monument was established by descendants in the center of our city. In the course of excursion children get acquainted with world religions: Islam and Orthodoxy as well as “Imangali” mosque’s architecture and were inside of it, get acquainted with building history of The Assumption Cathedral.
