On April 13, 2023, at the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, under the chairmanship of the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.R. Oralov, a meeting was held with the participation of the heads of local executive bodies and regional heads of museums on the implementation of the project of holding an international exhibition in the Louvre of France on the topic “Kazakh dala örkenetinіn madeni codes” planned for 2026.

«Gazet - Omir Ainasy»

On April 5, at 11.00 o'clock, the local history museum of Atyrau region hosted the opening of a temporary exhibition "Gazet - Omir Ainasy" in honor of the 100th anniversary of the regional socio-political newspaper "ATYRAŶ".

Korzhyn exhibition

In the local history museum of the Atyrau region, from January 13 to 22, on the basis of the museum fund, in order to glorify Kazakh national values, a temporary exhibition was held on the theme “Ulttyk koloner tarbie kozi”.

About 20 korzhyns and kermes were hung at the exhibition, demonstrating the best examples of textile products of the Kazakh people. Through this exhibition, the diversity of the traditional weaving culture of our people was shown, information was given on the materials and techniques for making products, their scope, and household functions.

   Korzhyn made of wool, felt and pile, as well as kerme of various shapes were presented at the exhibition. One of them is korzhyn, donated by the former akim of Astana Tasmagambetov Imangali Nurgaliuly in 1999 on the occasion of the relocation of the local history museum of Atyrau region to a new building. Korzhyn is made of wool and woven without lint. It is made in a square shape, red-brown in color, the surface is patterned, the hem is fringed.

Korzhyn, woven by this method of carpet weaving, was made by Janylsyn Taganova, a retired craftswoman from the village of Kosshagil in the city of Atyrau. Korzhyn was transferred to the museum fund in 1978. The surface of the korzhyn is piled, red in color and has a diamond-shaped pattern.

Another type of basket on display is the kuda korzhyn. This basket was made by craftswoman Azima Zhamambayeva in 1990 using the face weaving method, and the surface is woven with a face weaving pattern of red, green, blue and yellow threads. Two drawstring pockets in the middle. Korzhyn was acquired in 2007 in order to replenish the museum collection with ethnographic artifacts.

Another basket is the work of Balkunshe Kurmanovna, a Kazakh craftswoman exiled to Karakalpakstan in 1931 during a famine. Kulmyshev Sandibay, her grandson, kept this product for many years. In 2017, this artifact was transferred to the museum fund.

Some exhibits were also exhibited at this exhibition. In 1990, Atyrau resident Nakov Akylberdi collected one of them as a collection of Mangistau people, as well as Kazakhs who immigrated from Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Mongolia. Kerme is woven and sewn using the carpet weaving method and the tykyr technique. The surface is woven with red, dark brown, orange thread, and the lining is decorated with light woolen thread. Kerme was transferred to the museum fund in 2019.

Tektilik tugyrynan taimagan

On January 20, an evening was held at the Kurmangazy Palace of Culture, at which the presentation of the book of memoirs “Tektilik tugyrynan taimagan” dedicated to the Honorary Citizen of Atyrau Region, veteran of the Great Patriotic War, Oryngali Karasaev, with details of the life of a famous person.

The evening was attended by the wife of Oryngali Musauly - Dametiya Karasaeva, akim of the region Serik Shapkenov and representatives of the intelligentsia well-known in our region, and the audience was shown a documentary film revealing the civil character of the veteran. After that, a book written about his life path was presented, with memories of the hero.

During the event, the visitors of the evening viewed a traveling exhibition dedicated to Oryngali Karasaev, prepared by the local history museum of Atyrau region.

This exhibition presented information about the youth, early career and activities of Oryngali Musauli, photographs of his parents and family, state awards and service certificates, orders and medals, books and manuscripts, a collection of articles, as well as his personal belongings (hat and tie, desktop writing set, glasses, pen, notepad, leather folder).

Asyl dombyra - in Atyrau

On January 20 2023 the collection of exhibits of the local history museum of the Atyrau region was replenished with "Asyl dombra".

In 2022, on the stage of the theater of traditional art "Alatau" on the slopes of Alatau, organized by the Agency "Khabar" and the public fund "Asyltas", a competition of akyns "Asyl dombyra - 2022" was held. 17 regions and 3 cities from all over the country took part in it in total. Among them there were akyns from Atyrau, who defended the honor of the region, which reached the final of the republican competition and were named in the top.

During the creative competition, our akyns Shynarbek Kabiev, Syrymbek Sarsembaev, Shalkarbay Izbasarov entered the Atyrau squad, which defeated the akyns of Astana, Akmola, Kyzylorda, and in the final stage performed on a par with the artists of the Zhambyl region. Chairman of the board of the «Khabar Agency» JSC Berik Uali, chairman of the Assyltas public fund Dulat Tastekeyev, first deputy chairman of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, akyn Akberen Elgezek, and akyn Shugayyp Sezimkhandar specially arrived to present "Asyl dombyra" to the local history museum of the Atyrau region.

Deputy akim of the Atyrau region Zhasulan Bisembiev spoke at the ceremony, expressing sincere gratitude to the guests who came to present "Asyl dombyra" and wishing creative success to outstanding akyns. After the wishes of the honored guests to the aityskers, akyn Akberen Elgezek handed "Asyl dombyra" to the head of the local history museum of Atyrau region Mukhambetkali Kipiev. Akyns, who performed in Alaman, were awarded letters of thanks from Khabar Agency JSC and the «Assyltas» Public Foundation.

At the end of the event, the guests visited the exposition halls of our museum.

"Let's be rich and powerful!"

The opening ceremony of the traveling exhibition "Let's be rich and powerful!", dedicated to the 70thanniversary of Kazakh journalist Nurtileu Imangaliuly,was heldat the Local History Museum of Atyrau Regionon September 6, 2022.
The presentation ribbon of the exhibition was cut by Deputy Akim of Atyrau region Zhassulan Bissembiyev, a Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan, a composer Ilya Zhakanov, Nurtileu Imangaliuly's wife Karlygash Tabuldinova, soul brother-friend Amantay Bergaliyev; it wasaimed at publicizing the role in society and significant works ofa winner of the Order of "Parassat", an Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, an Honored Journalist of Kazakhstan, a winner of the Kazakhstan Union of Journalists award and "Golden Star" award, an Honored Professor the Kazakh National Academy of Art Nurtileu Imangaliuly.
First of all, the audience gathered at the exhibition was treated to a theatrical scene called "Meeting with Atyrau Residents", where an actor of the Makhambet Academic Theater performed the role of Nurtileu Imangaliuly and his voice acting.
After that, Deputy Akim of Atyrau region Zhassulan Bissembiev, who made speech first, said that the creative path of the journalist, who was in the field of Kazakh television, remains a great example for all young professionals of the television industry.
- Nurtileu Imangaliuly is one of the citizens who brought innovation to
Kazakh television, being the author of many outstanding TV programs and projects. He also worked a lot in promoting Kazakh traditions. Therefore, the organization of such an event in Atyrau land has its own pattern.
Next, Balaussa Khalelova, Deputy Director of the Atyrau regional branch of "Kazakhstan-Atyrau" RTRCshared her memories of the ardent journalist. At that time, he reminisced with excitement the vivid moments of his interview with Nurtileu Imangaliuly in the TV program "Our Hero" presented by the "Kazakhstan-Atyrau" TV channel.
And the well-known journalist Kanat Auesbay, who was his brother- colleague for many years, distinguished the civil and human qualities of a talented person and told memories of the times he worked with Nurtileu Imangaliuly.
After that, Nurtileu Imangaliuly's wife, Karlygash Sovetkhankyzy, expressed her best wishes and expressed her gratitude to the Regional Akimat and the museum staff, who supported the exhibition.

In addition, Nurtileu Imangaliuly's brother-friend, an honored figure of Kazakhstan, an "Honored Citizen" of Inder district Amantay Bergaliyev, a Kazakhstan's Labor Hero, a composer Ilya Zhakanov, the chairman of the Atyrau regional branch of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan, Koyshigul Zhylkyshiyev expressed their heartfelt thoughts at the start of the event.
The traveling exhibition was attended by representatives of the intelligentsia of the region, veterans of the publishing and television industry, representatives of the culture industry and media workers, students.
At the exhibition open to residents and guests of Atyrau from September 6 to 27, Nurtileu Imangaliuly's broadcast clothes, cameras and film recorders, state and holiday awards, books and watches, personal manuscripts and desktop items, service certificates and personal documents, sports clothes and used items of Nurtileu Imangaliuly were presented. About 200 personal belongings were put on public notice.

Otyrar exhibition in Atyrau

 The grand opening of the mobile exhibition "The Great Silk Road and the Medieval Civilization of the Otyrar Plain" organized by the "Otyrar" State Archaeological Museum-Reserve was held in the Local History Museum Atyrau Region on August 4.
During the event, which was attended by intellectuals and famous historians of the region, members of the scientific council of the museum, representatives of cultural institutions, Assiya Kystaubayeva, Acting Head of the Department of Culture, Language Development and Archives of Atyrau region, spoke first and extended her regard to the employees of the State Archaeological Museum-Reserve "Otyrar", who brought valuable relics to Zhayik on behalf of Atyrau residents; and she wished success in the work of the mobile exhibition, which reveals the secrets of the past history of our people and presents complete and accurate information.
After that, the director of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Sarayshik" Abilseyit Muktar said that the history of the relics found in the ancient medieval city is in harmony with the city of Sarayshik, and said that such exhibitions bring spiritual nourishment to the hearts of local residents.
Next, Director of the State Archaeological Museum-Reserve “Otyrar”, Zhankeldy Makashov, elaborated the historical place of Otyrar city in the world civilization, and described the features of the artifacts to be exhibited.
Acting Head of the Local History Museum of Atyrau Region, Dinara Bissembayeva, in her turn, presented 5-volumed book on the valuable relics of the Atyrau region to the team of the State Archaeological Museum-Reserve"Otyrar" and "Letter of Gratitude" wishing the two cultural groups to develop creative relations further ahead.
After that, the honor of cutting the presentation ribbon of the mobile exhibition was given to Assiya Kystaubayeva, the Acting Head of the Atyrau Region Department of Culture, Language Development and Archives, Zhankeldy Makashov, Director of the State Archaeological Museum-Reserve “Otyrar”, and Dinara Bissembayeva, the Acting Head of the Local History Museum of Atyrau Region.
During the event, the art amateurs of the Kurmangazy Palace of Culture presented their art to the public.
The exhibition, which provided information about the medieval city of Otyrar located along the Great Silk Road to the residents and guests of the city of Atyrau, presented the valuable artifacts found during excavations in the historical city, served visitors to the museum from August 4-29.
The exhibition, which provides detailed information about the city of Otyrar, where the famous thinker Al-Farabi was born, includes types of candlesticks of the 10-12 centuries, pots and jars with handles made in various styles, parts of water pipes, decorative mugs, lids of various shapes, bowls and plates, an inkwell and cup, a collection of beads and buttons found in the medieval city were presented.
In addition, Tashkent, Yassy, Bukhara, Samarkand, Shagatay, Karakhanid, Kytay tenge and dirhams found in the ancient city were put on public notice.
At the exhibition, the audience could see various vessels and glass vases made of Alambik glass, inscribed casings and patterned bricks covering the buildings of the ancient city, palette and spherical cone, and Chinese dishes made of celadon porcelain. The work "Diwani Hikmet" found in the city, the grammar work "Tartibi Zibo" of that era and the religious books of "Mulla Kassym" were put on public viewing as an integral part of the exhibition.
In general, the mobile exhibition, which includes more than 80 artifacts in chronological order, consists of two parts. In the first part, the results of researches describing the life in Otyrar during the 191-12th cc. and the original relic typical to those periods are collected; the second part contains material relics that inform about the development periods of Otyrar during the reign of the famous Sultan Amir Temir and the Kazakh Khanate.

Exhibition dedicated to the National Hero Khiuaz Dospanova in Uralsk

On May 25-29, 2022, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the National Hero Khiuaz Dospanova, the Local History Museum of Atyrau Region held a travelling exhibition "Legendary Kazakh Heroine" in Uralsk, that tells about the life and brave deeds on the battlefield of the first Kazakh pilotesse.

Chief Specialist of the Department of Culture of the West Kazakhstan region Akzhol Ramazanov, Honored Worker of Culture of Kazakhstan, local historian, veteran of the museum Sara Tanabayeva spoke at the opening ceremony of the exhibition at the Local History Museum of the West Kazakhstan in Uralsk about the first Kazakh pilotesse Khiuaz Dospanova and her remarkable heroic deeds of the national heroine from oil region on the battlefield and in peaceful life, and her personal characteristics.  

Acting Deputy Head of the Local History Museum of Atyrau Region Yerlan Tlekkabylov, who explained the importance and value of the exhibition, expressed his gratitude to the staff of the Local History Museum of the West Kazakhstan, who took part in arranging the exhibition, and presented the museum with a 5-volume catalog containing exhibits of the Local History Museum of Atyrau Region. The West Kazakhstan residents, in turn, presented a letter of thanks from the Department of Culture of the West Kazakhstan region to the Local History Museum of Atyrau Region.

The exhibition, which was visited by residents and guests of Uralsk, is mainly about the heroic feat of navigator-pilotesse Khiuaz Dospanova, who planed as an eagle in the sky and flew more than 300 times in the battle against the enemy, during the war with the German invaders. On the specially created exhibition walls, photos of the "Winged Girl" with her family members, relatives, friends of soldiers, front-line letters, awards received over the years of work were presented to the audience. In addition, a series of articles about the heroic figure and a letter from the writer Abu Sarsenbayev to the hero of the day, as well as devices used by the Kazakh brave girl on the battlefield  and personal belongings used in peacetime were displayed.

Another exhibition "Double star of the East" presents information about Aliya Moldagulova, Manshuk Mametova, and their photos from school and at the front. At the same time, historical data and photos about Guryev Infantry School and the military hospital, where during the war the commanders of machine guns, mortars, rifle platoons were sent to the front, as well as information on personal characteristics of veterans and Home Front workers who participated in the Great Victory Parade were presented.   

The audience was able to see samples of military clothing used during the war, military equipment, radio,telephone, gloves and socks sent from the rear, and other items.

 

Exhibition dedicated to the National Hero Khiuaz Dospanova in Aktobe

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the National Hero Khiuaz Dospanova, the Local History Museum of Atyrau Region held a travelling exhibition "Legendary Kazakh Heroine” in Aktobe on May 18-22, 2022, that tells about the heroism and life of the first national pilotesse.  

Head of Internal Policy Office of Aktobe region Lyazzat Orazbayeva, Chief Specialist of the Department for the development of art and historical and cultural heritage of the Regional Office of Culture, Archives and Documentation Anai Kurmanova, Chairman of the Aktobe Regional Branch of the Trade Union of Kazakhstan workers in the sphere of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Information Nazira Tabyldinova, chairman of the public fund "Kos Shynar (Double sycamore)", veteran of the museum Galymzhan Bayderbessov were the first to speak at the opening of the exhibition in the Regional Memorial Museum of Hero of the Soviet Union Aliya Moldagulova, about the first Kazakh pilotesse– Khiuaz Dospanova, they noted the remarkable brave deeds of the national heroine from oil region at the battlefield and in peaceful life and her personal characteristics. They said that this event gave the impression that the three heroes of the West were united. At that time, the performance of the song "Aliya – Manshuk - Khiuaz" by the singer of the Aktobe city house of culture Nurgul Ramazanova proved this opinion.

Exhibition dedicated to the National Hero Khiuaz Dospanova in Almaty

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the National Hero Khiuaz Dospanova, the Local History Museum of Atyrau Region held a travelling exhibition "Legendary Kazakh Heroine” in Almaty on May 6-12, 2022, that tells about the heroism and life of the first national pilotesse.

Director of the Central State Museum Rashida Kharipova, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Board Secretary of the Union of Kazakhstan Writers, editor – in-chief of the Republican magazine "Zhuldyz (Star)" Mereke Kulkenov were the first to speak at the opening of the exhibition in the Central State Museum on the hillside of Alatau.  About the first Kazakh pilotesse – Khiuaz Dospanova, remarkable brave deeds of the national heroine from oil region at the battlefield and in peaceful life and her personal characteristics.

Afterwards, soldiers of the border service of the Security Committee of the National Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan presented a small musical program accompanied by a music and wind orchestra. In front of the audience, the songs "I am a son of the Kazakh", "Kazakhstan" were performed solo, and then the children performed the Kazakh soldier dance for kyui “Balbyrauyn”.  

During the event, Yerbolat Amirov, the son of the Kazakh heroine Khiuaz Dospanova, and Aruly Amanbay, a student of the Academy of Aviation of Kazakhstan, expressed their sincere wishes.

Exhibition dedicated to the National Hero Khiuaz Dospanova in Nur-Sultan

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the National Hero Khiuaz Dospanova, the Local History Museum of Atyrau Region held a travelling exhibition "Legendary Kazakh Heroine” in Nur-Sultan from April 27 to May 2, 2022, that tells about the heroism and life of the first national pilotesse.

Acting Deputy Chief of the Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Colonel Sergali Alimkulov, Adviser to the Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sarsenbay Yensegenov were the first to speak about the first Kazakh pilotesse – Khiuaz Dospanova, remarkable bravery of other heroes from oil region at the opening ceremony of the exhibition in the State Military-Historical Museum of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan and about the eternity of their names in nation’s memory.  

After that, the audience was shown a video about the Kazakh heroine, in which honorary veteran of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Major General of aviation Mukhamedzhan Ibrayev, chairman of the Organization "Council of Veterans" of Tselinograd District of Akmola region Bolat Temirbayev, honorary veteran of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Major General of aviation Alsay Zhumanov expressed their best wishes.

Acting head of the Local History Museum of Atyrau region Dinara Bissembayeva expressed gratitude to the staff of the State Military History Museum of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who took part in arranging the exhibition. At the event, Yerbolat Shakuuly, the son of the Kazakh brave girl Khiuaz Dospanova, also spoke and thanked the Kazakh people who honor the name of his mother on behalf of the descendants of the heroine.

Honorary veteran of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Major General of aviation Alsay Zhumanov Tuleuuly and a veteran of the Great Patriotic War Nurkassym Azhitayuly were honored to cut the presentation ribbon at the opening of the travelling exhibition.

The event was attended by a group of war veterans, public figure Irak Yelekeyev, Deputies of the Mazhilis Serik Yerubayev, Salimzhan Nakpayev, Nurlybek Ozhayev, researcher of the personal characteristics of Khiuaz Dospanova, journalist Tursyn Kalimova, employees of the State Military History Museum.

The exhibition, which was visited by residents and guests of the capital for a week, is mainly about the heroic feat of navigator-pilotesse Khiuaz Dospanova, who planed as an eagle in the sky and flew more than 300 times in the battle against the enemy, during the war with the German invaders. On the specially created exhibition walls, photos of the "Winged Girl" with her family members, relatives, friends of soldiers, front-line letters, awards received over the years of work were presented to the audience. In addition, a series of articles about the heroic figure and a letter from the writer Abu Sarsenbayev to the hero of the day, as well as devices used by the Kazakh brave girl on the battlefield  and personal belongings used in peacetime were displayed.

 

The travelling exhibition also gives information about the sons of the oil region who showed courage in the fight against the German-fascist invaders, Kairgali Smagulov, Boran Nyssanbayev, Mussa Baimukhanov, Georgiy Kantsev, Mukat Mussayev, Alexander Afanasyev, Philip Mazurov, Ivan Makhorin who were awarded the title of "Hero of the Soviet Union" and full holders of the Order "Glory" Shukur Yerkinov, Gizat Alipov, Yevgeniy Polynin, Sakip Kyzylov, Gavriyl Shamin. Another exhibition "Double star of the East" presents information about Aliya Moldagulova, Manshuk Mametova, and their photos from school and at the front. At the same time, historical data and photos about Guryev Infantry School and the military hospital, where during the war the commanders of machine guns, mortars, rifle platoons were sent to the front, as well as information on personal characteristics of veterans and Home Front workers who participated in the Great Victory Parade were presented. 

The audience was able to see samples of military clothing used during the war, military equipment, radio,telephone, gloves and socks sent from the rear, and other items.

 

 

 

 

Students competed in storytelling

In respect of the announcement of 2022 as the "Year of the Child" by President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, the Local Museum History of Atyrau region held a fairy tale contest "In the land of fairy tales" for children aged 8-10. Pupils of Atyrau urban school and Tandai rural school of Makhambet district took part in the competition of reciting Kazakh folk tales.
At the end of the competition, which provided students with folklore fairy tales, thereby developing their vocabulary and imagination, following students were awarded the titles: Gibrat Yesengazy, a student of Karshiga Akhmediyarov secondary school in Tandai village of Makhambet district - “Prince of a fairy-tale world”, Assel Makhsot, a student of №41 school-gymnasium in Atyrau - “The most beautiful taleteller», №36 schoolgirl Inkar Yelzhan - «Princess of the fairy-tale world», №2 Zhumeken Nazhimedenov high school student Inzhu Kuanyshevna - «Master of artistic speech», №31 school-gymnasium student Nuraina Temirbek - «The smartest taleteller», Makash Bekmukhamedov secondary school student Gulnur Boris - "The most welcomed in the fairy-tale world", Assemai Boris - "The youngest taleteller".
Sabyr Nyssanbay, a student of Zhumeken Nazhimedenov secondary school, was awarded the diploma of the III degree in the "Fairy Tale Land" competition, and Ademi-ay Alim, a student of Aliya Moldagulova secondary school, was awarded the diploma of the II degree. 9-year-old Danagul Mukhit, a 4th grade student of Karshiga Akhmediyarov Secondary School in Tandai village of Makhambet district, won the main prize of the I degree.

“Silver-jeweled girl” artifact was presented to the students

The local history museum of Atyrau region hosted an informative lesson "Silver-jeweled girls’ dowry". The lecture was attended by 11th grade students of school-gymnasium of Atyrau. The lecture included a detailed presentation of "Silver-jeweled girl" artifacts found in the Miyaly (Zhankeldy) mound in Kyzylkoga district during the excavations of the archeological expedition by the museum in 2020 and the silver jewelries of a bridle buried with the corpse.
The lesson is divided into five stages. At "Information" stage, students got acquainted with the features of the valuable artifacts in the exhibition hall of the museum, found in earth’s interior, and its progress of the study through slides on the LED screen. At “I am a traveller” stage, they enjoyed seeing the jewelry and the silver patches of the horse's bridle belonged to " Silver-jeweled girl" artifacts exposed in “Archeology” expositional hall. They also saw a silver earring and a talisman, iron scissors and a broken piece of knife found near the skeleton. Elmira Ibragimova, a lecturer and historian-archaeologist of the museum's research department, gave detailed information about other exhibits during the tour through halls; at “I am an historian” stage, she put the questions on observed artifacts and information given in the course of the tour. In addition, at "I am a re-enactor" stage, students are divided into two groups and make a cut-out picture "Who is faster?" and at "I am an archaeologist" stage, students played a game of digging pottery fragments buried in the ground.
At the end of the lecture, students toured other halls of the museum, and the tutor of the students, history teacher Shynar Badanova thanked the museum staff.

"Archeology" exposition hall was opened

"Archeology" exposition hall was reconstructed and opened in the Local History Museum of Atyrau region, which promotes the history of relics, found in burial mounds of Araltobe, Miyaly, Borsyk, Kylysh, Sarykamys, Imankara, Kudaibergen during the archeological excavations in Atyrau region, and culture, civilization, achievements of nomadic tribes, covering IV c. BC and XI c. AC.
The opening ceremony was attended by Alau Akhmetzhanov, author of the restored statues of Sak and Hun warriors, Manager of the creative group "Tarkhan” Center for Historical Reconstruction", Assiya Kystaubayeva, Deputy Head of the Regional Department of Culture, Language Development and Archives, Nurbergen Dauletov, the Head of “Akzhelken” limited liability company, a sponsor of expositional hall, members of the scientific council of the museum, historians, local historians and students.
In the reconstructed exposition hall there are exhibits found during archeological excavations carried out by the expedition group formed at the Local history museum of Atyrau region in different years. The spectators enjoyed seeing the "Golden Man" named "Sarmat leader" found in 1999 in the Araltobe burial complex in Zhylyoi district, the reconstruction of a golden-clad woman named "Pearl of the Great Steppe" found in Miyaly burial mound in Kyzylkoga district in 2017, reconstructed sculpture of warriors of the Sak and the Hun tribes, silver ornaments of a girl and silver patches of a horse's bridle found in the mounds of Miyaly (Zhangeldy) in 2020, a model of the Araltobe mound.
The hall is beautifully decorated with scenes reminiscent of the Early Iron Age and some moments of excavations as well as swords and akinaks, beads and sharpeners found in Araltobe and Imankara mounds, ceramic jugs and vessels, bone spoons, gold (copy) and silver jewelry found in Miyaly and Sarykamys mounds, bronze-cast four-handled cauldrons and bronze mirrors found in Borsyk, Kylysh and Miyaly mounds, honey-stones of the IV-V centuries found in Kyzyl-Uyik near Koschagyl, and presented to public.
On top of that, the spectators enjoyed seeing the a bronze belt head in the shape of arkhar, a bone needle box, a bronze belt buckle, decorated patches in the form of quiver, a tostagan, a ceramic jug, a bone spoon, a birch shield, animal, bird and pyramid-shaped gold patches (72% gold), reconstructed face of the Sarmatian leader and a woman of the Sarmatian epoch.
In total, 505 exhibits registered in the museum fund in the exhibition hall "Archeology". 485 of them were taken from the main fund and 20 from the additional fund.

Informative lecture on the Kylysh mounds

The Local History Museum of Atyrau region held an informative lecture by the museum on the excavations carried out on the Kylysh mounds, which are historical monuments of the region.​

The peculiarities and historical value of the mound, located 22 km from the village Zharsuat Inder district and the relics found in the mound are explained on the informative lesson. The lecture was attended by high school students of Sh. Ualikhanov Secondary School № 9. Nurbakhyt Zhenissov, a master of historical sciences, led the teenagers who were interested in getting acquainted with the history of the region.

First of all, the participants were shown a video about the excavations carried out by the Local History Museum of Atyrau region, and explained the methods of research through a slide presentation. The exhibits found in the Kylysh mounds - a bronze mirror with the image of an eight-legged dragon, a four-eared bronze cauldron, ceramic vessels.

Yerlan Tilekkabylov, a junior researcher of the museum's research support department, gave a detailed overview of the mounds, excavations and research on historical artifacts in the region. At the end of the lesson, students received answers to their questions on the topic.

A evening dedicated to the writer-teacher

The Local History Museum of Atyrau region hosted a meeting dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the poet, doctor of philological sciences, professor Kadyr Zhussup.​

At the cultural event, which was attended by an exemplary writer-teacher, first of all, a video was shown, which provides information about the life of the jubilee. After that, the students of 8 "a" class of the National Gymnasium for Gifted Children in Atyrau recited the poet's verses and gave the evening its own color.

Then, a well-known writer, member of the Writers' Union, local historian Tolegen Zhanabay spoke about the creative achievements of Kadyr Otegenuly, who devoted more than 60 years of his life to teaching. At the end of the wish, he recited new poems dedicated to the young owner. Professor of Khalel Dosmukhamedov Atyrau State University, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Shakhman Nagymov spoke about the moral qualities of the great teacher. He spoke about his own position in discipleship, civic appearance, hard work, and outstanding work in the field of science.

In turn, the head of the Local History Museum of Atyrau region Rashida Kharipova expressed her best wishes to Kadyr Otegenuly and presented him with a memorable gift on behalf of the museum staff. The writer-teacher, who is in his eighties, donated a collection of books written at different times to the museum fund.

At the end of the evening, the writer-teacher, who is the "Honorary Citizen of Atyrau region", the owner of the Order "Parassat", told about the milestones of his life, expressed his sincere gratitude to the staff of the museum.

A meeting of the Academic Council

A meeting of the Academic Council was held in the Local History Museum of Atyrau region.

The meeting was attended by members of the Academic Council, museum workers and representatives of the media. Rashida Kharipova, head of the Local History Museum of Atyrau region, presented the composition of the members of the academic council. During the meeting, thematic reports on the agenda items were presented.

At a meeting of the Academic Council of the Local History Museum of Atyrau region, the chief curator of the fund D. Bissembayeva introduced the report on the work done by the Local History Museum of Atyrau region for 2021. At present, the number of exhibits of the regional museum fund is 63,818 units, in departments - 35,791 units, a total of 99,609 exhibits. Listing the large-scale events held during the year, the achievements of the museum and the museum staff were noted.

Then Elmira Mukhambetkaliyeva, head of the museum's paleontology department, introduced the scientific concept of the "Paleontology" exposition hall, which is being opened in the building of the Local History Museum of Atyrau region. The hall that opens will present the history of the study of paleontology, the history of the development of the Earth, ancient plants and animals, as well as animal skeletons found in the region.

And the head of the department of research support (General history, archeology and ethnography) of the museum, Aidos Kalshabayev, analyzed the concept of the archeology exposition hall being created. He told the history, characteristics, values ​​of the finds during excavations in our region. In the hall that was opened, they worked out the arrangement of exhibits from the museum's funds.

During the meeting, the head of the Local History Museum of Atyrau region, Rashida Kharipova, acquainted the members of the Academic Council with the museum’s work plan for 2022, in the end, the members of the Academic Council expressed their views and proposals on the issues on the agenda

The conference was dedicated to Ms. Bopay

The Local History Museum of Atyrau region hosted a conference "Mrs. Bopay: an exemplary life and socio-political activity" dedicated to the promotion of Ms. Bopay, a courageous figure involved in governing the country. The presentation of the book "Abulkhair Khan and Mrs. Bopay" by Islam Haji Myrzabekovich was held on the initiative of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, by a special decree of President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev to implement the national plan to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Independence.

The meeting was held in offline and online format and was attended by researchers from Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Turkestan, Aktobe, Mangistau regions and descendants of Bopay Suindikovna, local historians, members of the Commission on Women's Affairs and Family, Demographic Policy under the regional akimat, students of K. Dutbayeva Humanitarian College, and representatives of the media.

At the meeting, historians and local historians conducting research on the life of Abulkhair Khan and Ms. Bopay shared their views on a common theme. During the event, there were reports on the following theme: Professor of Kh. After that, the author of the book "Abulkhair Khan and Mrs. Bopay" Islam Haji Myrzabekovich and the Secretary of the Commission on Women's Affairs and Family, Demographic Policy under the regional akimat Zamzagul Zhalmurzina shared their view on Ms. Bopay, who participated in the administration of the country as an assistant to Abulkhair Khan as well as on her personality and moral qualities.

At the cultural event singers of the Zhantorin Philharmonic Society Zhasulan Bazarbayev sang "Manlike mother Bopay", Nurbek Izdibay sang "Homeland". Famous kuishi Shamil Abiltay, who watched the gathering on the slopes of Alatau, presented his poem "Bopay ana" written in the words of the poet Sabyr Aday online.

Well-known poet Marzhan Yershu from Nur-Sultan, writer Otegen Oralbay from Almaty, kuishi Shamil Abiltay, writer Altai Taizhanov from Aktobe, rector of A. Zhubanov Aktobe University Bekezhan Akhan joined the gathering online. In general, 2 people from Nur-Sultan, 7 people from Almaty, 6 people from Aktobe, 5 people from Aktau, 5 people from Turkestan region, 4 people from Beineu, one person from Taraz and one from Ozen took part in the conference. Paleontologist who discovered the secrets of the Cretaceous mountains

The Local History Museum of hosted "Paleontologist who discovered the secrets of the Cretaceous mountains" event in memory of the founder of the Museum of Paleontology in the region, a cultural figure of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the best local historian Yuri Pastukhov.

The meeting began with a video on the life and work of the local historian, who dedicated part of his life to the study of cretaceous plateau in the vicinity of the Caspian Sea. Galina Chernova, chairwoman of the Globe Ecological Association, a well-known journalist Victor Sutyagin,  friends Georgy Trukhin and Valery Ten, and a student Irina Beshtanko made speech at the vent. They remembered the special aspects of the talented person's full of science destiny. Alexander Pastukhov, the paleontologist's son, expressed his  kind and gentle relation to own family.

 

At the end of the event, Rashida Kharipova, the head of the Local History Museum of Atyrau Region, said that the work of the first paleontologist was immeasurable. In this regard, the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the book "Paleontological Collections" was presented to the son of a local historian Alexander and the chairman of the ecological association "Globe" Galina Chernova.

The meeting was also attended by friends, descendants of the paleontologist, members of the press, students and students of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University and 11th grade students of D. Baibosynov national school-gymnasium #13 took part.
